This is the Netflix edition of Game Dev Tycoon, made by Rarebyte with Greenheart Games and released on Netflix Games on March 12, 2024. Netflix removed it on March 11, 2026.
The Netflix edition has content that was never in the version still sold on Steam and app stores: licensed games based on movies and shows, content creators and livestreams, custom story events and special reviews. With Netflix gone, this is the only way to play it.
This build removes the Netflix sign-in and saves progress on the device. Everything else was already in the app, so the whole game works, including all the Netflix-only content.
How to install
- Android: uninstall any existing copy first (this build is signed differently). Android 9+.
- iOS: sideload with AltStore, Sideloadly or similar. iOS 15+.
